digital composite of entire series thus far. i'll put up a finished composite at the completion of the series (three more days to completion)
i read the descriptions of the categories carefully and fencepost-ed on whether this is traditional or digital. its really neither. if it irritates you for it to be in traditional, let me know.
i veiled 8 portraits (done in oil on luane panel, 16x20) without any other digital manipulation.
i'm pleased with the results, they're definitely more accurate than the individual works.
the composite was the goal of the whole project, but i didn't feel like it was getting across conceptually? so i figured i'd literalize it by doing a digital
sweet. i was worried it wouldn't , i make that weird serious face when i paint. (which i'm sure you know is a rarity.. the face, not the act of painting)

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Say what you will about the sweet miracle of unquestioning faith. I find a capacity for it terrifying.
